It is absolutely imperative to us to see this pot continue to grow to support all the superb organisations that exist within the New Forest and surrounding area. To achieve this, we have set up The New Forest Marathon Community Fund. Home

From the cannon used as a “starter’s pistol” to the “dog-tag” medals soldiers place around all participants necks at the finish line, this unique event is “military” from start to finish. More than anything, though, Canada Army Run, is about Canadians and the Canadian Armed Forces – Air Force, Army, and Navy – joining together in the spirit of camaraderie and community. It’s a chance for the troops to extend the military esprit de corps to Canadians and to thank them for their support. And, it’s an opportunity for Canadians to say thanks to the men and women who serve them in so many ways at home and abroad. No ordinary race. People run, walk or roll in Canada Army Run for many different reasons. Some are trying to break records or achieve personal bests. Some come in memory of parents or grandparents who spent their careers in the military, or of loved ones who lost their lives in the line of duty. Many are honouring sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, or mothers and fathers who are in the military today. Others come to salute Canada’s injured soldiers who participate in the 5K, 10K and half marathon events and demonstrate for all the […]

It is an annual point-to-point Boston Marathon qualifying marathon (42.195 km/26.219 mi) race between Lévis and Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It has been held in August every year since 1998 and currently can reach up to 12,700 participants in all of the events combined. Along with the full marathon, a half marathon, a 10 km, a 5 km and children’s events are arranged as well. The course distinguishes itself from other races in that kilometer markers are posted in reverse order, indicating the remaining distance to the finish line. Among other things, this allows all events to start at the same time and on the same course, from the appropriate distance away from the finish line. The race is part of a series of races that go on around Quebec City each year called “Run Quebec City”, with the SSQ Quebec City Marathon being the most well known event. https://worldsmarathons.com/marathon/ssq-quebec-city-marathon

In this point-to-point course, you’ll tour two cities for the price of one. The race starts in downtown Minneapolis, then crosses the Mississippi River into St. Paul, where you’ll finish at the State Capitol Grounds. The course bills itself as the most beautiful urban marathon in the country, and it might just live up to the hype—the route loops around four lakes and parallels the river, giving runners a nature fix in the middle of two big cities. Registration will open in early March 2020. https://www.tcmevents.org/events/medtronic-twin-cities-marathon-weekend-2020
