The Charlottesville Marathon & Half Marathon is one of the oldest and most coveted races in Charlottesville. It has been defined as America’s Destination Marathon because of its scenic beauty and historical background. The course has been voted as “One of the Most Scenic in the East”. It starts and finishes in downtown Charlottesville. The course is comprised of quiet roads and bike paths along the Rivanna River and scenic Charlottesville neighborhoods.   Course highlights The course starts at Court Square in the heart of historic downtown Charlottesville, Virginia. It then traverses some of the most scenic and historic areas on the East Coast, running past many historic sites including Thomas Jefferson’s Rotunda, located at the University of Virginia. Daegu is one of Korea’s top three cities and an international sports city. In particular, it was selected as the world’s second international track and field city after Stuttgart, Germany, when it held the World Athletics Championships Daegu 2011, It is an international sports city, such as the successful hosting of the  World Masters Athletics Championships Indoor Daegu 2017 and the hosting of the World Masters Athletics Championships Daegu 2026 The Daegu Marathon has been holding label competitions certified by the World Athletics Federation since 2013. It is Korea’s representative sports festival, with 16,000 elite athletes and masters hobbyists participating every year. In addition, the world’s best prize money will be paid at the competition held on April 7, 2024. The prize money for the first place is $160,000. Starting in 2024, you can run Daegu landmarks by changing it to a circular course that runs throughout Daegu. Arctic Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k by Santa Claus, takes you to the most authentic of Finnish Lapland. The race starts from Father Christmas’ village square in Rovaniemi, where the exact Arctic Circle line is located. Join us for the annual International Roads to Rhodes Marathon in April and experience all the ancient and medieval history of the island. The route will be cyclical by the seaside in the north part of Rhodes city and will arrive in the city centre of Rhodes in a festive atmosphere. Tuusula is home for over 36 000 people and about 1 900 companies. The drive to Helsinki takes half an hour; to Helsinki-Vantaa airport, a quarter. Hyrylä is the centre of Tuusula, at the southern end of lake Tuusulanjärvi. The red-brick buildings in Hyrylä are reminiscent of the garrison tradition. The valley along Tuusula-river, and Lake Tuusulanjärvi are the lungs of Hyrylä and significant recreational areas. Jokela is the northern centre of Tuusula along the main railway line. It is a community constructed in garden-city style; its industrial history is linked with an old brickyard. Several lovely pools are a remnant of the brickyard tradition. Tuusula is home to the Tuusulanjärven Maraton. The event has been organized since 1994. Half-marathon and marathon route has been officially measured, and it passes mainly around the Lake Tuusula asphalted pedestrian and bicycle path. The route runs for the first time along the Tuusula Lake Road and offers cultural experiences both runners as the public route even passes by Jean Sibelius’s home.
