The SeaWheeze Half Marathon is 21.1km (13.1 miles) of breathtaking scenery, salty ocean air, high fives, and Vancouver vibes happening on August 15, 2020—we’ll warn you now that SeaWheeze weekend is about so much more than a race.  When you arrive in Vancouver, you can pick up your runner’s package in Coal Harbour at the impressive Vancouver Convention Centre. While you’re there, be sure to grab some exclusive, limited-edition swag at the SeaWheeze Showcase Store then get the weekend started with a yoga session at the PreWheeze Party.  And the party doesn’t stop there (obviously). The much anticipated SeaWheeze Sunset Festival will be held in Vancouver’s crown jewel: Stanley Park. There’s no better way to cap off a wild and crazy weekend than by dancing in nature to the tune of an ocean breeze and some killer music. https://www.seawheeze.com/content/seawheeze/index/run/about.html

From the cannon used as a “starter’s pistol” to the “dog-tag” medals soldiers place around all participants necks at the finish line, this unique event is “military” from start to finish. More than anything, though, Canada Army Run, is about Canadians and the Canadian Armed Forces – Air Force, Army, and Navy – joining together in the spirit of camaraderie and community. It’s a chance for the troops to extend the military esprit de corps to Canadians and to thank them for their support. And, it’s an opportunity for Canadians to say thanks to the men and women who serve them in so many ways at home and abroad. No ordinary race. People run, walk or roll in Canada Army Run for many different reasons. Some are trying to break records or achieve personal bests. Some come in memory of parents or grandparents who spent their careers in the military, or of loved ones who lost their lives in the line of duty. Many are honouring sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, or mothers and fathers who are in the military today. Others come to salute Canada’s injured soldiers who participate in the 5K, 10K and half marathon events and demonstrate for all the […]

It is an annual point-to-point Boston Marathon qualifying marathon (42.195 km/26.219 mi) race between Lévis and Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It has been held in August every year since 1998 and currently can reach up to 12,700 participants in all of the events combined. Along with the full marathon, a half marathon, a 10 km, a 5 km and children’s events are arranged as well. The course distinguishes itself from other races in that kilometer markers are posted in reverse order, indicating the remaining distance to the finish line. Among other things, this allows all events to start at the same time and on the same course, from the appropriate distance away from the finish line. The race is part of a series of races that go on around Quebec City each year called “Run Quebec City”, with the SSQ Quebec City Marathon being the most well known event. https://worldsmarathons.com/marathon/ssq-quebec-city-marathon

Voted one of the most scenic courses with every race distance following the Niagara River and ending at the majestic Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side of the border. The Marathon is truly international with the start in Buffalo, NY. The Half, 10k and 5k distances all start and end in Canada. As you line up on Lincoln Parkway in Buffalo for the start of the Niagara Falls International Marathon, you will find yourself in a most historic and beautiful area. Originally called North Park, it is now known as Delaware Park. Opened in 1870, this beautiful green area was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted who also designed New York City’s Central Park and Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. Lincoln Parkway is only a small part of the park that includes the Buffalo Zoo, Baseball Diamonds, Soccer Fields, Running Track, Picnic Areas and a Golf Course (formerly known as the Sheep Meadow in the 1880’s where flocks of sheep grassed).
